PAPER MODELLING ON STAND

Hello folks, my name is Luiz Filho, I am a first year Fashion Design student at University of East London, I started my course this September, I am still at third week, but I can say that I am really enjoying, I am making some new friends, which is very exciting, I am also learn a lot and enjoy my lecturers.

One of the Modules for this semester is "Explore Creativity - FT1500" and I was instructed to create my own blog to register my development and the progress of my works.

So, let's start:

My first post is about the work:  "paper modelling on stand" week 2 - 20.09.11 and here is how it was done:

1. First we had to cover the manequin with paper and sello tape.

2. And more sello tape.

3. Once the manequim was completely covered in paper and sello tape, we drawn lines to it, like making a dress. In this picture we can see it on 3D.

4. After that, the design needed to be cuted, where we previously made the lines.

5. And here we are cutiing the lines,  in order to transform the figure from 3D to 2D

6. And cutting again,

7. Now the work is divided in pieces, making a 2D shape.

8. Now we have front and back sides of the dress.

10. Now, cutting the pieces to finally make the dress.
11. Cutting the last pieces.

12. Contributing .

13. Now, putting the pieces together on the manequim.

14. Giving the last touches.

15. The piece is ready.

16. After the piece was ready, we decide to recreate the original design, using some extra pieces of paper to modify and make it more interesting.

17. Giving another shape.

18. and finally...the final result!!!!
